Dear Raider Nation-
It is with great pleasure that we announce to you the new Spring Hill Youth Football Association Board for the upcoming 2012 football season:  Phil Armenia – President,  Monica Heitzman- Football Director, Tanya Rummage – Cheer Director, Amanda Garber – Secretary, John McCullough – Treasurer, Tony Mullen – Member at Large, & John Durham – Communications Director.

Our Mission: To Inspire the youth in our community, regardless of creed, national origin, race, or sex, to practice the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, scholastics, and physical fitness.

With these goals in mind, we look forward to providing a family feel to the league, focusing on transparency and clear, concise communication with all players, coaches and parents.  Along with the board, the following individuals have donated their time and effort to making the SHYFA organization a success!  Luke Governor – Football Coach Manager, Sande Forte – Fundraising Manager, Mike Zakrzewski - Equipment Manager, Steve Argue – Field Manager, Renee Armenia- Concessions Manager.

We are committed to making a positive impact on what is already a great organization! We welcome any feedback that you want to provide and will take all thoughts, comments and suggestions into consideration as we begin our preparation for the 2012 season. The board in conjunction with the Coaching Managers will be officially opening recruitment for the 2012 Raider Coaching Staff. If you or someone you know is interested in teaching the fundamentals of football and cheer to the youth in our community please standby for information regarding the application process. Note: Board Members are ineligible to apply to coach…that is one of the fundamental changes we are making this year.

Camp is around the corner, we are working to put together a great program this summer. More details to come shortly.

Thank you to our past board members for their commitment and dedication to building the foundation to this great organization.  Rick Sofilkanich – Past President; Rick made the decision to step down and allow for new growth in the organization. Jim Gatterer – Past Football Vice-President;  Jim made the decision to step down to allow more time to focus on personal matters. Sheila Durham – Past Secretary; Sheila made the decision to step down due to personal reasons.  Steve Argue – Past Member at Large; Steve made the decision to step down so that he can apply to coach this season.  Cleveland Leatherwood – Past Athletic Director; Cleveland has stepped down to be more available for his sons, who play football for their schools now. We thank you again for all you have done. 

Please note that the Athletic Director position has been dissolved and the position of Communications Director has been created. Both Vice President Positions have been renamed to Football Director and Cheer Director.
